LOFRA was founded in 1956 by the Lovato Brothers who, in the post war period, began their activity producing caulderns with materials coming from remnants of war, then switching to the production of camping stoves, heating stoves and finally to stainless steel gas cookers for domestic use, to meet the basic needs of consumers.
The real turning point came in the mid-eighties years, when management and control passed to the sons of the founders, who finally succeed in giving the company a first organizational and managerial structure, an absolute novelty in the Italian north-east industrial landscape of the period.
In these years the company grows up, giving special attention to the quality of the finished product, through market researches and analysis results, consolidating its leadership in the production of gas cookers and high quality ovens for the high end market segment.
Among the projects developed by Lofra: Free-Standing products, the innovative Curva line – cookers with curved front design protected by a Community patent -, the Up & Down model, with double vertical ovens, the Professional range and the built-in ovens and hobs.
Since early 2010, the historical brand carries on its activity under the name “Nuova Lofra” and a new management.
The first goal of the new management was to restore the production of Lofra cookers at the highest level, using only “Made in Italy” components.
