LOFRA was founded in 1956 by the Lovato brothers who started their work after the war by making pots from the war surplus. Later, they made camping stoves and, finally, gas cookers in stainless steel for domestic use to meet the primary needs of the consumers. Then a great turn of events came in the mid-80's, when the management of the company was passed down to their children, due to the Lovato brothers' unexpected passing. They were able to give the company a first managerial and organizational structure that was really something to talk about for the North-Eastern Italian industrial sector of that time. In those years, the Company grew, by taking particular care about the quality of the cookers and thanks to market surveys and analysis. So, the Company succeeded in consolidating its leadership in the production of top quality cookers and hobs, for high market levels. Among the plans developed by Lofra, you can find the Free-Standing cookers, the innovative Curva range – that is a specially designed cooker with a patented, curvaceous oven door – the vertical double oven Up & Down, the range of Professional cookers and the Built-in products (cooking tops and ovens). From the beginning of 2010, the historical Company in Teolo, continues its activity with name of “Nuova Lofra” and new management. As a matter of fact, the prestige of the Lofra brand in the Middle East, push mr Reza Salehi to accept the challenge and invest in Italy, even in a period of general crisis. The first goal of the new management is to bring again the production of Lofra cookers at the highest level, by increasing the range of products and also by producing other appliances, such as dishwashers, washing machines and fridges.
